Interesting fact: this song was originally a song about the famous German Naturwissenschaflter und Entdeckungsreiser Alexander von Humboldt. It was all in German and written for adults with learning disabilities. However, the music was so good I just had to make a CTA song out of it, so I did. It is basically a love letter to Kilmarnock and about growing up there and being a teenager and getting drunk and things. There are some killer lines (I like the bit about "pissed up screaming teens in pink stretched limousines") but there are also some bad lines. The bad lines are there because I really just wanted to get this song finished and recorded, so settled for some lyrics that are probably only there because they rhyme. Naturally, when we record it proper, I will fix the words. It is a bit folky a sounds similiar to Jesus Was A Carpenter and Footprints, two other demos from this album. You couldn't have them all on the same album and this one would probably be the B-Side.
