As the great Meatloaf once sang, "Some days it don't come easy, some days it don't come hard, some it days it come at all and these are the days that never end". That's a bit how I feel about this song. The music actually came very quickly, and I thought, ooh I'm on to something here, but I couldn't think of any decent words (apart from the "... more than nothing" chorus). A lot of songs start out with 'placeholder' lyrics that help you to get the right melody and then the words get changed to something better later on, but with this song I just can't think of anything for the verses or mid that are actually good, no matter how hard I try. I've gone through all my little books to find some decent words but nothing seems right. This song might be destined to keep its placeholder lyrics, but I will keep trying.
This song is sung too low, should have stuck the capo up one higher but then the guitar sounded weird (and it already sounds a bit like a sitar somehow) and I think you can forget about the instrumental verse section before the last chorus (unless you put the outro guitar riff over it.) Nice song though!
